THANKSGIVING DAY

EL DÍA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS
"THANKSGIVING DAY".
NO TE PIERDAS LA HISTORIA 
DE ESTA FESTIVIDAD... 

En  1620  un grupo  de  peregrinos  viajaron  a  América

 a  bordo  del  barco  Mayflower.

In  1620,  a  group  of   English  pilgrims  came  to  America 

on   the  Mayflower  ship.

Vino el invierno y no había suficiente comida. Los peregrinos no estaban preparados para el frío, y muchas personas se enfermaron.

 

Winter came and there was not enough food. The pilgrims were not prepared for the cold and many of them got sick.

Los Indios ayudaron a los peregrinos. Les enseñaron  cómo cultivar maíz,guisantes, calabazas y otros frutas y verduras.

 También enseñaron a los peregrinos a pescar y cazar

 The Indians helped the pilgrims and taught them how to grow corn, peas,pumpkins and other fruits and vegetables. 

They also taught the Pilgrims how to fish and hunt.

Cuando los peregrinos ya estaban establecidos con la primera cosecha recolectada, decidieron tener un día de gracias para agradecer a Dios y a los Indios que les ayudaron.

Once the pilgrims had gotten settled and reaped their first harvest,they decided to have a day of Thanksgiving in order to thank God and the Indians who had helped them.

 

 El Día de Acción de Gracias fue fundado para dar Gracias a Dios y a los Indios.Muchas personas también utilizan esta ocasión para dar gracias y expresar aprecio a seres queridos, amigos y familiares.La comida tradicional incluye pavo asado, pastel de calabaza, camote,maíz, salsa de arándanos y pan casero.

Thanksgiving was founded to thank God and Indians. Later, people also used this day to thank and appreciate others.The traditional thanksgiving meal includes roast turkey, pumpkin pie, sweet potato, corn,cranberry sauce and homemade bread.
